Look deeply into a Lover, and Love there meets Love, in One Embrace, at the intersection of time and Eternity, and you'll see, you'll feel, whatever persons mean by Glory. In everything the Lover does, what he thinks, how he looks at his Beloved, he is always saying three words only, "I Love You." This is the spontaneous OutFlowing of his whole Heart, into the Heart of the Beloved he adores. This Love cannot be commanded, This is Gift, pure Gift.

Let us consider one Face, or Aspect, of the Gem of Divine Love - Adoration. "To adore" derives from a Latin root "to pray"... Adoration is Prayer, often words, sometimes one being overwhelmed, even stunned, by Awe. This is in One with the One; so to adore another, is to adore oneself, is to adore "G-D."
Yesterday, during a healing session with a woman, incarcerated in the jail where I serve as Chaplain, Spirit spoke to her, as I looked deeply into her Face: "If you knew how lovely you are," I said, "you'd feel like bowing down and worshiping yourself, as God or Goddess." She was stunned. She asked, smiling, aglow, "Where did you hear that?" I said, "Spirit." Tears streamed down her face in torrents of Bliss.
I was adoring her, I was praying to her, I was loving her, I was connecting with her heart-to-heart, in One. For that Worship is what Love does.

This is the reason we are on this Earth. Love always seeks to connect, and will as long as fear does not turn back the arms of Grace reaching out to say, "Welcome." So, to Love, deeply, truly, one must be strong, very strong, and one must Love oneself, truly and deeply, also. The ego, the personality, the socialized sense of self, cannot endure, cannot sustain the Glories of Such Loving.

To adore another in that One, as One, is Prayer - with, to, through another, and in that two become the One. What makes this possible?
One is taken inside the veil of Separation - this is what Christian mystics call Contemplation, and many in the East call Samadhi. In that Consciousness-of-Union, there is flowing inside one another - coinhering - as One, before the separating into diversity. Yet, here, all Is this Oneed-Plurality in fecund waiting to sprout forth into time-space as separate, particular, unique expressions of One Substance, G-D.
Therefore, in This Consciousness-of-Union, there is no separate G-D to worship, to adore, to pray to. One can do so, but he or she cannot see that as other other than One and in worshiping, adoring, and praying to that his or her soul clings to in Love - for Love cannot be divided, and is Union Itself.

As one is moving into contemplative Union - remembrance of One - this will arise in the Silence, and at other times. You are not to resist it, for this is the Gift of Contemplation. This is not blasphemy. This is not foolishness. This is not to be feared. This is to be embraced in Love, for then is the Joy of Truth.
No religion can take you to this point of Union. Here, you cannot rationalize, explain, or define. You can only say "No" or "Yes," for Love only invites. You can surrender, abandon, to be lost in the sweet Embrace of this Mystery. We choose, at this point. This is our Destiny, our Sacred Fate; this is our return to G-D in G-D.
